Dear Dan,

We are truly happy with our new vehicle and grateful for your service. It has been a solid month now since we rolled out of your car lot with our new Lexus SUV…and I must say…I love it! And although I still haven't shared with too many people that I am now driving a Lexus, I am quite proud when sitting behind the wheel and making my way to and from work. It is also getting much easier for me to roll the word LLEEXXXXUUSSSS off my tongue when people ask "what did you buy"? Then, of course, the next thing they ask is "how could YOU afford a LEXUS," followed immediately by "where did you buy it"? It is then that I get the opportunity to boast about you, The Import Car Centre, and the service we received from everyone there.

When we owned the Jimmy, Mike has always mentioned that he would consider buying our next vehicle from you, but we thought we were a full year away from that happening. I am a true believer in fate…and when our Jimmy(which I loved so much) was written off(thankfully nobody was injured)…there was a reason that it happened when it did. Obviously, it was time for a new vehicle and thanks to you we have one the we feel will not only suit our needs, bust most importantly, will also keep us safe.

The service you and your staff showed us went above and beyond, and your knowledge of each vehicle we drove made it easier for us to make a decision. Believe me…the LEXUS was the last vehicle I thought we would be leaving with…but you were right…and certainly under-estimated how much I would love driving it. If I recall correctly, I think my words after test-driving it were "I am pleasantly surprised that I liked it more that I ever thought I would!"

Thank you for your honesty and patience during the four hours we spent on your lot test-driving vehicles over and over again. I will never go to another slick-suited salesman at a big-ass dealership ever again. Your casual laid-back approach and style made us feel welcome and at ease when making a decision. The portable sales centre, the love for good food and good wine, the Bridgehead coffee, the laughter, the teasing, and the constant talk about nothing(truly a Seinfeld spin-off) were all part of the appeal. I was even impressed by the ingenuity regarding the washrooms. In the end, however, it really came down to trusting the people we were buying from and the ongoing relationship we would have with you and your mates.

Dear Jim,

We look forward to many more quality vehicles from Import. I tell people, but they just don't believe me. A place where you can go and be waited on hand and foot. A place where the company doesn't care about money or material things. A place that employs the sharpest salesmen around. A place where the representatives pay attention to the smallest technical detail, and are always extremely well groomed. Maybe I'm going too far. Maybe that's not what people are looking for?

It could be that people want to be left alone until they want something or have a question. It could be that people today don't want to see all the glitz and glitter because they know they are paying for it. It could be that the sharp salesman is becoming an extinct animal and people can't stand them. It might be that people get confused by technicalities and would prefer if you would just be yourself.

If traditionalists in the car business would listen and learn from the way you guys run Import Car Centre everyone would be better off. The customer would get a good reliable automobile for a fair price. The dealerships would learn how to look at things long term, not just look at what is hot today and how many 300% marked up extras we can dump on this sucker. The salespeople would acquire the right attitude and work ethic necessary to succeed in any field they choose in the future. They would also learn that it's all right to have fun, and make money at the same time.

My wife Patti and I are obviously impressed and share the opportunity for people to experience the future of car sales and how it can be a pleasure dealing with people that are honest and trustworthy. (Though we do warn them in advance that Dan has a 3 second attention span)

Re: Lexus 400h 2006

Attention: Bert, Dan the Man, and Da Fig….

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you for your repair facility. We took our BMW there and to say the least the service was excellent and reasonably priced. Just a quick note to let you know that I (should I say we) are extremely pleased with the Lexus 400h, though how could we not, being past owners of a GMC Montana! What was I thinking? In retrospect the only things that worked all the time on that wonderful piece of Detroit steel were the warning lights.

We were sceptical of buying from a "used car lot" with no affiliation with a major automotive manufacturer but found this to be quite to the contrary. In fact the entire experience was void of the pressure and uncomfortable feeling one gets from "A" typical white shirt, car sales person.

The atmosphere at the "Import Car Centre" is no pressure, advice, and respect with a dose of humour. (I have reduced my carbon footprint and am now saving the planet. Although I would run over David Suzuki given the opportunity!) Not to mention I get a rebate for being emission friendly go figure.

The Lexus is a sweet ride and the condition is excellent. We get nothing but positive feedback from any and all people we show the vehicle to. It rides like a dream both in the city and on the highway with comfort bar none.

Although I can only claim one car purchased from "ICC" unlike some of your repeat customers of 6 to 8 cars. I would not hesitate to purchase another car from you guys based on this experience.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank you for your repair facility. We took our BMW there and to say the least the service was excellent and reasonably priced.

Thanks again for the honesty and in case I may want to upgrade in a few years, we won't hesitate to deal with your establishment again. My husband Lewis just bought a 1997 Mazda Miata from you and picked it up last Friday as a mid life crises gift to me and I just wanted to let you know "I Love It". We have had a lot of compliments on how great it looks for an 11 year old car. I haven't driven my 2006 Yukon XL since I got it.

We are very pleased with it and thank you very much for selling it to us. Lewis and Jamie really enjoyed meeting you and they had fun driving it home.

Dear Marc, Dan, Eddie, and Fran,

You have this down to a science because you do it with genuine sincerity and that is why it is such a good experience. A week ago I had no intention of buying a car until spring but I thought it would be elucidating to explore the internet a little and have a visit to the Import Car Centre to visit the guys who had sold me terrific cars in the past. The only problem was I forgot just how skilled you are and now here I sit in blissful shock having just picked up my BMW.

Visiting your little shack is like entering the set of Saturday Night Live only with experts on cars. Your team is phenomenal in your people skills, knowledge of cars, your fun, relaxed approach and your kind personalities. My husband wants to come hang out with you!

I understand the secret ingredient to your success is the relationship you build with your customers. It really is difficult to experience what you have to offer and then consider going anywhere else. You have this down to a science because you do it with genuine sincerity and that is why it is such a good experience.

A few years ago my daughter totalled a car that we had bought from you. In my panic I decided the only way to keep my kids safe was to have a brand new, fully loaded car that I could only afford through leasing. Of course I consulted Dan and he begged me not to do it. I didn't listen to him and I wish I had. He was so right. But I have returned to my senses - we are now committed customers - we wouldn't buy a car anywhere else.

Dear Dan,

I've had the car for a month now, and I am still smiling. Gary and I would like to extend our thanks to you and your team at Import Car Centre. Rest assured, when it comes time to look for the next car (for our kids), we'll be back! Aside from buying a house, most people regard buying a car as a stressful, risky, and frustrating experience. However, you and your team proved that this need not to be the case.

Last month, my husband and I came to Import Car Centre to look for a suitable replacement for my car. We were greeted by your friendly team, and after a short conversation with you and Tom about our needs, we were having a blast test driving a set of cars that very quickly helped us converge on a fit for us. Your experience and knowledge, combined with a non-intimidating customer-oriented philosophy made the process fun, informative, and stress-free.

Once we had selected the right car for us, a 2004 Mazda 3, the financial aspect of the process was easy and smooth. Josh and Eddie concluded the process quickly, professionally, and with a smile.

What's happening? Just wanted to drop you a quick line and let you know that I love my new truck! The compliments I have received about my Tacoma are unreal, this is the perfect truck for me. You were a pretty good lad to deal with, you took the time to make sure the transition into my new vehicle went smooth. I would recommend Import Car Centre to anyone searching for a used vehicle.

I don't know how I have managed in the past to get by without a truck, and with the record amount of snow this year, my new truck has definitely proven its worthiness to me. To say the least I am very satisfied with my purchase and Import Car Centre.
